Data Centre Upgrade in the Southwest

Millican Consultancy played a key role in this recently completed project where an existing live facility was extended and refurbished. The work included installing new main switchgear and PDUs, new UPS and generators configured in a 2N arrangement. A G59 protection system and synchronisation of generators to mains was installed to allow seamless load testing against the site. The provision of a design critique and value engineering options gave significant cost savings and the project was completed with a full IST and client training.

Data Centre Refurbishment and UPS Supply Reconfiguration

This existing large live Data Centre had all its main electrical system components overhauled and upgraded. The PDUs within the Data Hall were replaced along with all their sub-mains and outgoing circuits. The two Hybrid Rotary UPS had their Mains 1 & 2 supplies reconfigured to balance the load across the two incoming supplies. All these activities were undertaken without shutting down any critical data equipment.
